Friends...Without Benefits??

I have this theory that a guy or girl cannot have a consistent friendship without some sort of feelings forming into something beyond just being friends. You may say this is not true, you have plenty of friends of the opposite sex and you just see them as that, a friend. But just because you don't like your friend beyond what you guys have doesn't mean that person isn't thinking differently. I have had plenty of male friends that resulted in either me liking them, them liking me or us liking each other consensually. I find that when i do try and take the friendship a step further it always fails me (lol). Don't get me wrong I've heard that the best relationships start off as great friendships and by all means if you think you've found a good partner in your best friend go for it. But please bear in mind that if perhaps it were to never work out, It will NEVER be the same again.
